Trade-ins

We are often able to take your older or “in-need-of-repair” equipment as an exchange or trade-in on the purchase of equipment. When you call our office or e-mail us, don’t forget to mention that you may have items for us to consider as exchange or trade-ins. Our staff will evaluate your trade-in equipment and determine a fair value credit.

Instrument Recycling and Disposal

There is an ever increasing concern for contamination of the environment by chemicals and heavy metals often found in many computers, electronics and complicated analytical instrumentation. Many instruments contain lead, and other harmful metals from the manufacture of circuit boards, capacitors and other small components.

When instruments arrive at Windy Hill for recycle or disposal they are evaluated.

After the evaluation, we may remove some parts that are serviceable and may be of use to keep other instruments in service. The remainder of the instrument is disassembled, sorted and then properly recycled or disposed of.
